A leading R&D and Incentives team bringingbenefits of not only a variety of work, clients and project teams, but alsowith strong support structures in place to help you achieve your career goals!The opportunity fami As a Manager in the team you will be working with avariety of very high-profile clients (FTSE 100 and 250 multinationalcompanies), who are at the front line in developing cutting edge technologywhich is helping the UK to stay as a market leader by encouraging investmentinto research and development. You will be required to work closely with clientsfinance, tax and engineering departments. You will work with clients from alldifferent sectors and of all different sizes. Working within the EY teamyou will be leading the preparation of R&D claims and making sure ofcompliance against tax legislation. Within the Innovation team you will beexposed to cash grants and patent box applications. As well as working directlyon existing projects, you will also be offered the chance to support businessdevelopment opportunities. Youll be based primarily at your home office butthere will be a small requirement to travel when supporting our nationalpractice. Your key responsibilities: To contribute to the efficient and successfuldelivery of R&D tax services to the client inclusive of all tax technicalelementsBuild and maintain relationships with clients andprovide high levels of client serviceBuild relationships both within the firm andexternally with clients, identifying opportunities and managingexpectationsContribute to winning new work by proactivelymanaging existing clients and contribute to winning new clients.Assist with the management and successful deliveryof tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business drivenapproach takenResponsible for day-to-day clientliaisonSkill and attributes for success: Experienced R&D tax practitionerTeam player; ability to integrate with new teamsquicklyOutgoing with good relationship skills and theability to deliver quality outputStrong technical skills and keen to developfurtherAbility to build strong clientrelationshipsAbility to identify areas of risk, carry out aneffective review and know when to refer upwardsRelationship management skills with ability tomanage client expectationsAbility to build effective relationships at alllevelsAbility to solve problems creatively andpragmaticallyTo qualify for the role you must have: Fully qualified ACA/CA/ACCA/ATT/CTA; or TaxInspectors with full Technical Training CourseMinimum 3 years as an R&D tax practitionerwith experience leading on, and project managing, the preparation ofclaimsStrong Excel capability including use of VLOOKUP,IF functions and pivot tables, including manipulating large and complexdatasetsExperience in leading teams and coordinatingdelivery of services both in the office and remotelyStrong writing and communicationskills.Ideally, youll also have: Project management skills, plan and prioritisework, meet deadlines, monitor own budgetExperience in Alteryx What we look for:Team player; ability to integrate with new teamsquicklyOutgoing with good relationship skills and theability to deliver quality outputStrong interpersonal skills and the ability tobuild a rapport with clients quicklyWhat working at EY offers We offer a competitive remuneration package whereyoull be rewarded for your individual and team performance.
