Job Title: NurseLocation: SurreySalary: £19.50 per hourJob Type: Permanent, Full-timeThe Role: As a Nurse you will take an active role in the development, monitoring and audit of professional standards and working practices to ensure high quality of person-centredcare is provided in the Nursing Home.You will support the development of a holistic approach to care and encourage therapeutic relationships with the residents. In addition, you will establish public relations and maintain good working relationships with families,relatives and visitors of the home.The role will also involve a commitment to multi-disciplinary teamwork with GPs, Pharmacist, visiting Dentists & Opticians, Care Managers, Social Workers, Dietician/SALT staff, OTs, Physiotherapists, Chiropodist, TissueViability & Palliative Care Nurses and local General Hospitals and Hospices. You will also promote Milverton Nursing Home as a centre of excellence and dignity in care in recruiting new admissions.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:To work closely withthe Manager, other registered nurses and Health Care Assistants, and carry out delegated responsibilities within ones level of competence.To gain relevant management experience by managing Milverton in the absence of the Manager AND to step in and take overand administer/supervise a shift/s in the unexpected absence of other Registered Nurses.To undertake training, supervision and induction of new staff in accordance with the Common Induction Standards (CQC requirement)To undertake daily, weekly and monthlyauditing of Care Plans, MAR Charts & Loose Medication to ensure everything is up-to-date with no anomaliesTo abide by the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and other guidance issued by the NMC when exercising professional judgement and decision-making.The Candidate:RN (Adult)/RGN-Mandatory; RN (MH)/RMN-Useful together with other CPD qualificationsHave a basic level of computer literacyDemonstrates an understanding of how to promote the rights, responsibilities and recovery of residents.Demonstrate an ability to dealsensitively with stress, disturbance and unpredictabilityDemonstrate a knowledge of the nurse role in keyworker/primary nursing and care planningCan clearly identify the rationale for clinical supervision and appraisalDemonstrates effective written and verbalcommunication skillsWilling to work flexibly with regard to shift work which may include periods of night dutyKeeps up with contemporary issues in nursingAbility to work under pressure, manage workload and meet specific deadlines.Please click the APPLY buttonand to submit your CV and Cover Letter.Candidates with experience or relevant job titles of; Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Qualified Nurse, Registered Nurse, Advanced practice registered nurses, RN, LPN, APRN, Elderly Care, Senior Nurse, Senior Staff Nurse mayalso be considered for this role.
