Job Description

Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (Interim)c£100,000 + 20% bonus, pension12 month interim contract.Operating in the international leisure sector our Private Equity backed client is a heavily tech-enabled business. Following a tough couple of years through Covid the business has bounced back strongly and is now firing on all cylinders. With EBITDA expectedto be back to pre-Covid levels this year the business is leaner and fitter than ever and experiencing powerful growth.An Interim Head of Financial Planning and Analysis is now required for a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave. A key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of FP&A will drive strategic and tactical initiatives and performance across the Group.The RoleReporting to the CFO, the Head of FP&A is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. The role provides proactive insight into actual and forecast financial and operational performance as well as oversight of the Groups financial planning, decision supportand resource allocation processes.The business is PE-owned and the demands of the role reflect that in an expectation for a strong focus on financial performance, incisive analysis and insight into business performance, and continuous commercial, financial and operational improvement.Key deliverables include:-

  • Delivery of the annual Business Plan and subsequent reforecasts as required
  • Delivery of daily/weekly / monthly KPIs performance reports and a rolling reforecast with accompanying commentaries providing value-adding analysis and insight
  • Decision support in the form of investment appraisal and RoI tracking
  • Proactive identification of areas for operational and/or financial performance improvement
  • Cash forecasting, optimisation and reporting
  • Oversight of cost management and reporting processes
  • Develop and build the FP&A team
  • Ad Hoc Projects as & when required by the board
  • Commercially astute qualified accountant with experience in FP&A and/or commercial finance manager type roles - ideally in a PE backed business;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with and excellent interpersonal skills;
  • A builder of effective and productive relationships with multiple stakeholders;
  • Able to absorb and summarise complex or diverse information;
  • Strong analytical skills - capable of interpreting information and providing succinct analysis to senior stakeholders. Experienced user of Power BI and advanced Excel.
The CandidateA talented and experienced FP&A professional is required to play a critical role in the successful delivery of the Groups growth strategy.
