The opportunity Extended Assurance is part of our Financial Services Assurance practice and provides ongoing assurance to regulators, management and directors on the execution, governance and controls around processes that do not impact the financial statements. Current turbulent markets are driving significant changes to all firms internal processes. Your key responsibilities EYs Financial Services Extended Assurance team work with clients to provide assurance that an organisations business activities are operating effectively in addressing these challenges. This is done through the appropriate use of assurance skills, robust audit and other methodologies coupled with industry insight in the Financial Services market. As part of the Extended Assurance team you will work on the execution of a variety of projects including; Internal AuditNon-financial statement audits (Libor, Client Assets)Regulatory reviewsProcess and controlsFinancial remediation The Prudential Regulation team advises asset management firms, including traditional managers, hedge funds and wealth managers on a variety of issues and challenges. The core services are summarised as: Assurance Reporting - Controls assurance reporting advice (relating to ISAE 3402, AAF 01/06, SSAE 18 etc), GIPS, Benchmark Assurance, AUPs, ad hoc assuranceGovernance & Controls - Operational Due Diligence, Governance Reviews, Policies and Procedures Reviews, Investment Operations Reviews, Outsourcing ReviewsRisk & Capital Management - Risk Management Framework development, Assurance Mapping, Risk Appetite, Strategic Risk Assessment, Regulatory Capital Assessments (ICAAP) You will work in complex multi-disciplinary teams, with responsibility for the overall execution of smaller projects and individual components of larger projects, under the guidance and direction of Managers, Directors and Partners. Skills and attributes for success We are looking for assurance professionals with have a strong background in Wealth & Asset ManagementYou will use your expertise in assurance methodologies to perform engagements in compliance with the firms and industry standardsYou will be flexible in your working style to encompass working both in the office, as well as client site and potentially travelling internationallyYou should have experience of working in assurance, risk or controls projects either as an auditor or consultantKnowledge and experience of working in a dynamic, demanding environment is essentialIndividuals who can demonstrate intellect, drive and focus, and the ability to succeed at EY To qualify for the role, you must have External audit or internal controls/audit experienceProven experience of working effectively in a teamEvidence of working in an assurance related role either in a professional services firm or in industry with a blue-chip employerParticular industry specialism in Wealth & Asset Management. Ideally, youll also have Practical experience of regulatory topics including Prudential Reporting, Structural Reform; new internal audit innovation; and/or Business audit skillsProfessional qualification ACA/ CA/ ACCA / US CPA qualified (ICAEW, ICAS, Irish Institute or equivalent international qualification) or an equivalent in industry, ACCA, CIMA What we look for Your goal will be to help clients achieve their potential - and you can expect to do the same.
