Job Description

Automation Tester // Outside IR35 // £375 - 400 per day // ManchesterXpertise Recruitment are currently searching for several automation testers on behalf of a consultancy, who have undertaken a large piece of work with an enterprise size client in Manchester, helping them re-write their code base.They are looking for automation testers to help with this long term project of work. The roles can be fully remote and outside IR35.The role will involve the following:

  • Collaboratively (3 amigos) define scope for functional testing for a given piece of work
  • Creation of manual test scripts (where applicable)
  • Development of automated story tests
  • Perform functional testing and documenting results
  • Identify suitable tests for inclusion in the regression test packs.
  • Automating regression testing, where possible and as agreed
  • Estimating Stories
  • Generation and checking of test output
  • Produce any test data to support testing activities
  • Develop and maintain test scripts that can be used in agreed non-functional tests to simulate the production usage of COS
  • Produce tests results and reports that are relevant to and understandable by all stakeholders
  • Execute the agreed non-functional tests
  • Ensure Jira is kept up to date
  • Ensure defects raised contain sufficient details to be able to re-produce the problem.
  • Performing re-tests/regression testing
  • Highlight any changes to the BJSS Test Lead
  • Identify and perform Smoke tests.
Here is an overview of the contract:
  • 9 months initially (likely be involved for 18 months).
  • £400 per day (maximum)
  • Remote
  • GoLang/C#/Selenium/Specflow
  • Outside IR35
