Job Description This established and growing technology company builds critical cloud systems and ultra-secure data platforms for high profile FS and government clients.The firm is seeking a Cloud Security Architect with a strong, highly technical background (through engineering and delivery) to join their team, focused on the Government sector. You dont need to have SC clearance but must be eligible.The role will be split across three main areas as follows:Security Design (Cloud Security Solutions) 40%Security Assurance 40%Data protection 20%The design part of the role is focused on managing and executing cloud security solutions across lifecycle strategy, design, implementation and operations. You will have experience in designing, implementing and delivering security for cloud native, distributed computing and architectural solutions with a principle of "Secure by Design". You will establish security requirements for cloud-based solutions by evaluating business strategies and requirements.The assurance part of the role will be focused on preparing systems & documentation ready to go through a security accreditation. In this role you will also co-ordinate pen tests, represent the security team at working groups also doing design work, and translate complex government legislation and principles into security technical controls.You must have hands on Cloud experience, ideally AWS. An AWS certification would be beneficial. You will be able to identify and drive remediation of public cloud risks, and continually evaluate new threats in the cloud.As the Security Architect, you will also be responsible for Data security / Data protection. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of GDPR and DPIA (Data Protection Impact Assessment).You must have a proven track record of successful delivery in a similar role, designing and building security architectures for the cloud, with a hands-on implementation/development background.
