Job Description

A talented Business Analyst who has strong ERP / MRP knowledge with a Manufacturing background is required by a successful family run manufacturer based in Greater Manchester.The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to prosper in a well-rounded role to play lead in major business systems improvements and manage the production of information within an IT environment.An annual salary of £55,000 + benefits is offered depending on experienceClientYou will join a long-standing business that has celebrated 100 years of manufacturing and is still flourishing as a global business. You will have the opportunity to join a close knit group of people with a stable IT department, where this role hasbecome available due to the person taking retirement.What you will be doing:

  • Be responsible for analysis relating to complex business processes and IT systems
  • Interact with users and other stakeholders to gather requirements and investigate problems
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve existing applications and propose new applications
  • To facilitate the production of detailed test scenarios and data
  • To provide user support for the M3 core business application
  • To interrogate the core business database using Cognos BI and SQL
  • To produce management information using above tools
What you will need;
  • Solid experience working in a high level Business Analyst / Systems Analyst / Data Analyst role
  • Experience with ERP systems (ideally M3 / Movex)
  • Strong SQL Scripting skills
  • Cognos BI experience beneficial
  • Solid Excel & Access skills
