Job Description

SENIOR BUSINESS AFFAIRS MANAGER, 5+ YRS PQEMEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT / TV (NON-SCRIPTED)HYBRID/MANCHESTEROur client is a highly popular non-scripted TV production company.We are looking to recruit a Senior Business Affairs Manager as a key member of the Non-Scripted Business Affairs team. Reporting to the Head of Business Affairs, you will work closely with production teams throughout the creative process.Keyresponsibilities:

  • Negotiating a wide range of agreements including talent and contributor agreements, location agreements, and other underlying agreements with rights holders.
  • Liaising and working closely with the Senior Business Affairs Manager, Head of Business Affairs, other members of the Non-Scripted Business Affairs team and the broader legal teams across multiple sites.
  • Assisting in supervision and review of work of Business Affairs Executive.
  • Liaising and working closely with relevant production teams, providing trusted advice on legal and business affairs implications of programmes, to anticipate any legal and rights concerns and to offer solutions to resolve these challenges.
  • Providing general commercial and legal advice, particularly in relation to copyright and clearance issues associated with productions and distribution.
  • Supervising a Business Affairs Executive.
You will be qualified lawyer, ideally with at least 5 years PQE (or equivalent) and have experience of complex negotiations in a TV production and/or broadcasting environment.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lawyer with the ability to grasp new areas quickly and who can rise to the challenge!As part of Kinsella Legals candidate registration and care process, all successful applications are responded to within 14 working days.
