Are you a bridge design engineer with experience of working on large rail infrastructure projectsAre you looking for your next contract opportunity which will be long term working from homeI have a great opportunity for a 2 to 3 Bridge Engineers with excellent hands on detailed design experience on rail schemes. They are looking from engineer level up to principal and would especially welcome anyone who is CRE or chartered or has temporary works design experience. My client is a leading consultancy who have major projects on both Network Rail and HS2.Location: Working from homeRate: £30-£45 umbrella Contract length: 6 months +Role responsibilities:·Prepare detailed design documents including F001, F002 & F003 for Network Rail schemes or to HS2 standards ·Prepare detailed design calculations to Eurocode and British Standards for repairs and new build schemes ·Prepare assessment reports and calculations to BD21/01 and NR/GN/CIV/025 standards for bridge assessmentsMinimum Requirements·Extensive experience with bridge design schemes ·Extensive experience in rail projects in the UK. ·Strong ability in various software packages ideally including LUSAS and MIDAS, with strong experience in Finite Element Analysis preferred ·Strong knowledge and experience of the following: Eurocode, British, Highways England and Network Rail Standards ·Strong experience in delivering bridge design through Network Rail and preferably HS2 standards ·Previous experience as a CRE and chartered is preferableMy client needs a shortlist of candidates by Friday 15th January and will be interviewing next week, so please send your CV immediately
