We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to support our Works Delivery Managers, coordinating and supporting the day to day LNW activities.Your responsibilities:• The Assistant Works Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day to day delivery of works including; preparing site files, SWP, and Works Package Plans as a minimum to client specification.• Experience in Civil Engineering construction projects will be essential to meet the demands of this multi-disciplinary contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of supporting the management of multiple contracts.• Working on a 5 year framework contract on LNW for Network Rail, projects will include a wide variety of maintenance design and build schemes.• You will be proficient in promoting and implementing site specific management plans to ensure compliance with all CML health, safety, quality and environment policies, as well as arranging landowner access and any enabling works i.e. submit any possession, line blockage, traffic management requests. Reporting to CML’s Project Manager, the role will involve working on projects throughout the LNW Region, reporting into the Wigan depot.Desirable Skills:• Rail Industry experience (PTS / COSS) – Essential• Strong background in civil engineering project work• Safe System of Work Planner – Desirable• Strong IT skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel)• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks• Confident, self-motivated and proactive• The ability to work well in a team responding quickly to support colleaguesPreferred Qualifications:• SSSTS / SMSTS, SSOWP, COSS• Good level of education – GCSE English & Maths or Higher Education qualificationThe Package:• Package dependent on experience.• If you are interested in this role and would like to apply, please follow the instructions.
