Assistant Head of Care£41,941 + Sleeping in allowancePermanent position41 hours per week, all year roundBradstow is a creative and unique residential school for children between the ages of 5 & 19. It is situated in 13 acres of parkland in Broadstairs. We seek to meet the needs of children and young people with autism and severe learning difficulties with associated behaviours that may be challenging. We have achieved national recognition for our developments in Communication and Behaviour Management, and in our most recent OFSTED inspections we have achieved a rating of Outstanding for our school and Good for our residential homes.Reporting to the Head of Residential Services, this role involves leading and supervising the residential childcare provision of the school. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring that the Childcare team supports and enhances the work of the Educational team, and to facilitate the development of a high quality living and recreational environment for the young people.The post-holder will act as a member of the SMT and work with Governors and other agencies that work with the school and attend and participate in SMT meetings.The hours for this post include shift and weekend work, and flexibility is required.For all posts we look for candidates who are mature, warm, creative and open to learning with a patient and caring attitude to deal sensitively with vulnerable children.We offer a generous salary and benefits including:
