Job Description

Shift Engineers (Mechanical Biased)Norwich / Great Yarmouth Area£45,000 - £48,50012hr Shifts - 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off (6-6)Benefits:-

Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying into various supermarket and food outlets both in the UK and overseas. They are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Shift Engineers (mechanically biased), to join their close-knit team.Role & Responsibilities:
  • Provide electrical & mechanical support & repairs for all production equipment & site services
  • Carry out PPMs, reactive maintenance & project work
  • Working on conveyors, food production & packaging machinery, PLCs, mixers, rollers, ovens, control panels, robotics, wrappers, baggers, depositors, checkweighers, labellers
  • Carry out planned maintenance activities to ensure plant safety & reliability
  • Dealing with pneumatics, inverters, compressors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, inverters, sensors
  • Project engineering - hands-on equipment upgrades & continuous improvements
  • Mechanical fabrication, fitting, machining to make parts and welding
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Ideally be a mechanically biased engineer or multi-skilled
  • Apprenticeship trained or a time-served engineering with mechanical & electrical qualifications
  • Have previously worked in food or FMCG manufacturing
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & problem solving skills
  • Mechanical fabrication, fitting, machining & welding experience
  • Good organisational and communication skills - working in a small team of engineers
  • Have a proved track record of working in a maintenance type role
  • PLC - electrical fault finding skills would be great
