Job Description

We provide easy-to-access, effective interventions that address a range of lifestyle issues.With our support, people make sustainable change that will help them improve their wellbeing, become healthier and reduce their chances of developing illnesses.We currently provide a range of adult health and wellbeing services in over 20 local authorities. Services include: weight management, physical activity (including GP referral), smoking cessation, intensive personal support, healthy eating and drinking, healthchecks and other healthy lifestyle promotion, outreach, support and training serviceseither directly or through trusted partners.What the job is about:The role will involve line management of Health Check Practitioners (HCPs), as well as day-to-day management of a bank of self-employed, sessional HCPs, and close working with Health Check Coordinators based in our Programme Support Team.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure venues are booked and available
  • Manage the team to ensure all sessions are fully staffed
  • Attend reviews and meetings with the commissioner
  • Own our marketing and communications plan
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with referral sources, venues and wider Norfolk health system and economy.

  • Knowledge and understanding of key health-related lifestyle services such as health checks, diabetes prevention, weight management, smoking cessation, physical inactivity etc
  • At least 2 years of high-quality management experience in a customer focussed, target orientated environment.
  • Demonstrative experience of developing and managing external stakeholder relationships.
  • High level of personal organisation and time management skills.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent; or
  • A-Level or equivalent plus at least 2 years of high-quality line management experience in a health-related environment.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
  • 2 years or more experience of working in a health-related environment.
  • Proven ability to manage Supply Chain / sub-contracted delivery to stringent performance and quality targets and/or standards.
  • Demonstrable experience of remote management of teams.
  • Experience of successful delivery of complex public service contracts.
