Job Description

A leading Oil & Gas business in Great Yarmouth are looking to hire a Senior Project Engineer for their Project Engineering department.Working as part of a close-knit and very experienced team, youll support in the management and delivery of several high profile projects, managing the entire lifecycle and taking full responsibility for the technical and financial aspects of assigned projects, coordinating and directing activities to achieve completion within budget and to specification, with maximum safety & reliability of the equipment being manufactured.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Manage project activities by directing work and by liaising with all departments, engineers, inspectors and sub-contractors, as well as carrying out the design and engineering of hydraulic / pneumatic systems.
  • Management of each projects financials, including expenditure, profit & submission of contract variations.
  • Project schedules are met and prepare monthly project progress reports.
  • Technical and commercial project specifications are available to all personnel involved.
  • Technical design information is made available to the CAD Design Office and E&I Engineers.
  • Procurement of components, materials and services is carried out.
  • Technical evaluation of projects.
  • Monitor fabrication and assembly of equipment during project lifecycle.
  • Prepare equipment test programmes.
  • Maintain agreed project cash flow.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, cost and labour estimates.
  • Suitable applicants will need to have the following skills and experience:Education
  • Degree or qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent.)
  • Experience:
  • Proven Project Engineering background, ideally from within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Experience managing engineering contracts and commercial negotiations.
  • Able to work under pressure and respond to the demands of a high and varied workload.
  • Experience: (Preferred)
  • Experience in design of Hydraulic and/or Pneumatic based equipment
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Area rules and regulations, (ATEX, CSA, IECEX).
