Job Description

Senior Project Engineer | Great Yarmouth | Circa £50,000 | PermanentLangham Recruitment is pleased to be working with a well-known Hydraulic and Electrical expert in the oil and gas industry. Our client is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join their team due to consistent growth and an increased workload.As a Senior Project Engineer, you will oversee the technical aspects of the projects assigned to you, as well as completing the projects on time and within budget, while ensuring the maximum safety and reliability of the equipment manufactured.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer seeking to advance their career into a more senior position, or for a current senior seeking a new challenge with a dynamic organisation!What youll do:

  • Manage project activities to meet agreed-upon project milestones, by directing the work of the designated Project Engineers and coordinating with all departments involved.
  • Carry out hydraulic and pneumatic system design and engineering and assume responsibility for all project activities delegated by the Technical Manager.
  • Full financial management of projects, including expenditure, profit etc.
  • Ensure that project deadlines are met, that progress is kept up to date, and that monthly project progress reports are prepared.
  • Technical evaluations of assigned projects, identify problem areas and ensure that all issues are discussed and clarified with customers engineers to avoid delays.
  • Ensure that the procurement of components, materials, and services adheres to the projects technical and quality specifications.
About you:
  • Proven track record in the design of Hydraulic / Pneumatic / Electrical topside equipment for the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Hydraulic and Electrical Project Engineering experience within Oil and Gas.
  • Understanding of Hazardous Area rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of the Machinery Directive
  • Understanding and implementation of engineering specifications
  • Professional manner and experienced and comfortable in dealing with Clients.
  • General stakeholder management experience
  • Good PC Skills including Microsoft packages.
