Job Description

Im working with a global leader in manufacturing and maintenance services for the energy industry who are looking for a Senior Electrical Technician to join their team in Great Yarmouth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a fantasticreputation in their field and are looking to expand in 2024.Role Summary:

  • Execute project-related tasks, including manufactures, refurbishments, and testing.
  • Ensure health, safety, and security in work areas, prioritizing company interests.
  • Install precise control panel wiring and field installations, complying with legislation.
  • Conduct inspection, testing, and certification of Electrical Installations.
  • Specialize in electrical installations in hazardous areas (BS EN 60079-14).
  • Perform portable appliance testing (PAT) and offshore work when required.
  • Assist project engineers in cable tray layout and sizing during design.
  • Conduct system FAT and function testing of control panels.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair workshop assets, promoting a positive company image.
  • Train apprentices in electrical installation practices and testing techniques.
  • Complete project close-out reports, documentation, and certification.
  • Work independently or collaboratively with effective communication and technical advice.
  • Contribute to personal and team development and promote QHSE policies.
Person Specification:
  • Electrotechnical NVQ Level 3, C&G 2391, CompEx certified (essential).
  • HNC Electrical Engineering, BS7671, offshore ticket (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, resilience under pressure.
  • Reading and understanding electrical drawings, Electrical Panel layout & wiring.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the mechanical/hydraulic trade, knowledge of MS Office.
