Job Description

Established in Great Yarmouth for over 40 years, Shawcor supply products and services to the aeronautical, space, oil & gas, material science, nuclear, global energy and military and defence industries. Due to recent orders from prestigious clients we are now seeking a Quality, Health and Safety Technician to join the successful team in Norfolk. As a specialist division of Shawcor, Shawcor Inspection Systems design and manufacture customised Digital Radiography (DR) and Computed Tomography (CT) turnkey non-destructive test (NDT) solutions and equipment for blue chip organisations.You will receive a salary of £27,000 - £30,000 plus generous company pension contributions, life assurance, employee assistance programmes, cycle to work, shopping discounts with training and development opportunities.As the Quality, Health and Safety Technician you will:

  • Take responsibility for; the maintenance of our ISO9001 standard, monitoring quality standards as per the commercial contractual standards, and oversee site health & safety.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspection.
  • Maintain lifetime quality records.
  • Liaise with suppliers on conformance.
  • Update site safety documents including risk assessments and incident investigation.
  • Compile data.
  • Assist with training and competency checks.
  • We are looking for a Quality, Health and Safety Technician with:
  • IOSH trained
  • Experience of ISO 9001 standards
  • Experience in a bespoke, high value design and production company
  • Confidence to initiate change and to challenge behaviours
  • Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
