Job Description

Our Client is a very successful pharmaceutical manufacturing company. They are now seeking a QC Materials Inspector. This position is a full-time permanent role and will be based in Great Yarmouth.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Materials Inspector to join the QC department. My Client is a continuously expanding and fully integrated pharmaceutical company comprising of research, development, manufacture, marketing, and distribution activities.This role is based at the groups manufacturing site where a wide variety of medicines and healthcare products are manufactured and released to the marketKey Areas of Responsibility

  • Collection of raw material samples in sampling booths from within the warehouse area. Sampling can be from Sacks, boxes, drums, which are then sent to the laboratory
  • The job also involves checking paperwork, moving chemicals around the warehouse (to and from the sampling areas), cleaning the sampling areas, and sampling the raw materials using a light based technique NIR or Raman spectroscopy (handheld laser) to identifythe constituents of many chemicals
Qualifications / Experience
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C (9-4) including Maths & English
  • Experience of working in a QC environment, handling chemicals, sampling, testing of chemicals and packaging is desirable
  • Candidates with higher level qualifications will also be considered i.e. A Levels, BTec, Degree preferably in a suitable scientific/technical discipline (this would assist flexibility between inspection and QC laboratory work)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Competence in computer packages, including MS Word & Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Emotionally resilient with the ability to work under pressure with a can-do attitude.
