Job Description

A leading sub sea engineering business in Great Yarmouth are looking to hire a Production Technician.Reporting into the Production Manager, you will support in the manufacture & production of specialist sub sea exploration equipment and machinery, focused mainly on electronic & electrical work, with some light mechanical assembly too.As Production Technician, youll need to demonstrate attention to detail and an ability to make objective decisions, of which having a technical competency in engineering principles & techniques will be crucial.Responsibilities of the Production Technician:

  • Manufacture and test of electrical & electronic assemblies
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Follow the companys build & test procedures.
  • Assembly of systems, sub-components and panel wiring.
  • Use of oscilloscopes and other electronic test equipment.
  • Testing, fault finding and repairing of basic PCBs to component level.
  • Assembly, wiring, testing and fault-finding modules at system level.
  • Assembly and inspection of pressure vessel seals and connectors.
  • Creating of technical reports on faulty & damaged items.
  • Undertaking light mechanical assembly.
In order for your application to the Production Technician to be considered, youll need:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, as outlined above.
  • Willingness to develop practical and technical skills.
  • Good working understanding of products at system level.
  • Knowledge of PC/IT based systems
  • Ability to work on systems and sub-assemblies.
  • Good working understanding of products at system level.
