Job Description

Our Client is a very successful pharmaceutical manufacturing company. They are now seeking a Production Lead. This position is a full-time permanent role and will be based in Great Yarmouth.Job Purpose

  • An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Production Lead to join a highly successful and dynamic Pharmaceutical Manufacturing site in Great Yarmouth.
  • Our Client produces a wide variety of well-known medicines and healthcare products. As a rapidly expanding business they are looking for a highly motivated individual to support their continuous improvement objectives and drive the development of theirProduction operations, systems and processes, ensuring they are equipped to meet new challenges and opportunities
  • This position requires someone who can operate as a member of the senior management team, coaching and challenging as appropriate, to ensure the business continues to meet targets and objectives
  • The incumbent will be expected to function with a high level of effectiveness and self-direction, aligning with the organisations plans, strategies and objectives
Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Support the team to ensure batches are produced to the required quality standards and in accordance with relevant company procedures.
  • Drive and support the ongoing development of the Production team
  • Drive CI initiatives through regular reviews of systems, processes, tools and equipment to reduce waste and improve efficiencies within the department
  • Drive and maintain key performance indicators to deliver high standards of cGMP and general housekeeping
  • Inspire and motivate to achieve objectives and targets whilst driving continuous improvement requirements within the department
  • Continued presence, support and review of all activities within Production area
  • Support and lead (as appropriate) the installation of new equipment, software and/or technologies within the department
  • Support new product introductions and packaging improvement activities
  • Health & Safety leadership including developing/updating risk assessments
  • Take ownership of engineering change controls, non-conformance investigations and CAPAs
  • Create, review and update documents in the electronic document management system
  • Support the team members to ensure all training is effectively delivered and documented
  • Act as backup for the Production Manager in their absence
Qualifications / Experience
  • A strong background in leadership, ideally working in pharmaceutical or another regulated production environment with associated level of documentation
  • A Levels (or equivalent) with strong verbal and numerical reasoning skills
  • A self-motivated individual with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Resourceful with a high aptitude for problem solving and decision making
  • Experience in Lean techniques e.g., Six Sigma with the ability to lead root cause analysis
  • Experience of appraisals and individual performance management
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
