Job Description

My client a leading Oil and Gas engineering company are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter and an Electrical Fitter to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full time permanent basis.This role will be to work within the Well service production department at their Gt Yarmouth facility.The companys Well Service Department are in the business of manufacturing various high quality oil field related pieces of machinery. They also carry out extensive overhauling, carry out modifications and remanufacture clients existing machinery as required.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesManufacturing of new diesel engine driven equipment, generally used in oil fields/ well service environmentsRemoval & reinstallation pumps, pipes, valves and other mechanical itemsRemoval & reinstallation hydraulic circuits coolers and filter systems.Overhauling, repairing, maintaining and remanufacturing all types of well service equipmentPreferred Competencies/experience* Trade time served and appropriately qualified mechanic/ fitter/engineer.* Experience with well service Zone II type equipment* Competent and familiar with the use of hand tools and engineering machinery* Able to work with colleagues as a team to ensure that customer requirements are met* Capable of behaving in a professional and productive manner.* Working under pressure and timescales to meet objectives set by the company.* Willingness to take on new challenges and ensure individual competency* Capable of working using your own initiative in a positive way* Experience with testing /repairing Ln2 pumping units (including fault finding and assessing repair requirements).* Experience with testing fluid pumps/cementing units (including fault finding and assessing repair requirements).* Able to occasionally work off site and maybe overseas* Ability to work from and understand design drawings* Ability to understand schematics for both hydraulic/pneumatic circuits* Able to follow safe working procedures* Ability to be aware of the potential dangers and safely work with equipment capable of producing high pressures* Familiar with Ln2 Cryogenic systems including cold ends, pumps, pipework, liquid nitrogen conversion systemsTechnique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist engineering recruitment company based in Norwich
