Job Description

Management Accountantc£27,000 - £44,000 Per Annum (Dependent on Experience) East NorfolkFull TimeReed Accountancy and Finance are proud to be working with a well-established and globally operating transport organisation in the East Norfolk area who require an Management Accountant to join their finance team.Leading an accounts team, you will be reporting to the Directors, playing a key part in the finance function, gaining exposure across the wider business. The fluid structure of the business creating exciting opportunities for growth is reflected by highemployee retention rates at all levels, demonstrating the long-term approach within the company.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the finance team in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial records, ensuring all income and liabilities are accurately recorded, reconciled and reviewed in line with accounting standards
  • Performing month end and year end procedures, reconciling control accounts
  • Preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns
  • Preparing management accounts and accompanying schedules
  • Preparing yearend financial statements including supporting information for the audit process, liaising with external auditors and responding to audit requests & queries in a timely manner
  • Oversee various payroll within the company
  • Review cost on projects within the business
  • Providing additional general support and completing ad-hoc tasks as required
Applicant Strengths:
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated and a good communicator.
  • Attention to detail, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (following training and handover).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of accounting software packages and ledgers.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or by experience
  • Logistics knowledge would be considered an advantage.
  • Sage accounts package and payroll used
  • You will be based in Great Yarmouth but willing to travel within the UK and potentially trips overseas
Pay and Working Schedule
  • c£27,000 - £44,000 Per Annum (Dependent on Experience)
  • Full-time and permanent, office based.
