Job Description

We are exclusively supporting a leading Oil & Gas Engineering specialist in their search for a new HSE Manager. Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will assure compliance with legislative, customer and Company requirements by maintaining HSE policies,procedures and best practices whilst driving and facilitating continuous improvement.You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a safety first culture and lead by example. Previous experience in Oil & Gas is preferred but candidates from Construction or Manufacturing are encouraged to apply. This is an office based role and willrequire working at site 5 days per week. There may be a requirement for international travel, but this is very occasional.Duties include:

  • Overall responsibility for the management and development of the HSE ManagementSystem
  • Facilitate the maintenance and continual improvement of the HSE Management System
  • Ensure that the business operates to the highest level of HSE standards and ensure safety compliance
  • Advise and support Senior Management Team on all HSE issues
  • Administer the company`s third party registration to BS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001
  • Liaise with clients to promote and maintain interface links for HSE
  • Act as focal point for HSE Audits and Inspections for regulatory bodies and clients
  • Establish remote site standards and conduct site visits to ensure compliance, as required
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and report accurately to regulatory bodies and the management team
