* Growing customer base across the region.* Deputising for Depot Manager when required.* Delivering great service to customers.Assistant Sales & Operations ManagerGreat Yarmouth£30k + OTE My client is an extremely well-established distributor of specialist products, operating out of many depots across the UK and we are delighted to support in their search for an Assistant Sales & Operations Manager to join and lead the team at their site nearGreat Yarmouth.You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day commercial aspects of this busy and vibrant depot, ensuring all sales targets are met and customer expectations delivered. You will be capable of identifying, proposing and delivering strategic business opportunities,as well as improving current performance in existing products and services.Key Responsibilities: * Growing customer base across the region.* Answering inbound calls with confident negotiation skills.* Making outbound sales calls, building rapport with prospective customers, visiting customers where appropriate.* Deputising for Depot Manager when required.* Pricing and entering order details on the system.* Dealing with customer queries/complaints.* Delivering great service to customers.* Hitting monthly Sales and productivity targets.* As part of the Management Team identify and propose initiatives to support the local Depot and Regional Business Sales Strategy.* Support the depot sales teams to deliver individual targets.* Develop and implement new procedures and processes to encourage improved working practices, including forecasting and performance activities.* Investigate and implement a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales.* Deliver organic growth and improved profitability.* Adopting and integrating sales initiatives.* Coach and develop the team.Key Skills: * Experience in working with B2B and B2C sales driven environment.* Strong sales background with experience of developing sales strategies in a B2B and B2C.* Proven experience of selling physical products and value-added service solutions.* Thorough understanding of a KPI driven sales environment.* An excellent people manager with strong motivational skills.* A high degree of commercial intelligence & cost aspects.* Understanding of operational aspects of a delivery/transportation service.* A positive and resilient character, with a can-do attitude.* Strong attention to detail, with a results driven approach.* A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to deliver with impact and build external and internal relationships.* Skilled in mentoring and coaching.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very well-established and continually growing business with depots all over the UK in a key role as part of their management team.
