Job Description

We are working on behalf of a well-established Insurance Brokers who are looking for a Senior Claims Handler based in Lakeside to join their growing team!You will be the key liaison between the client and the insurer and ensure that claims are administered in line with the expected standards, regulatory requirements and that an excellent service level is maintained.Key Responsibilities: · Determines own work priorities and activities in line with agreed plans to ensure the achievement of personal and team objectives.· Manages assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required· Provides relevant management information to senior management· Develops strong relationships with markets· Negotiate with markets to achieve the best outcome for the client· Maintains any ongoing delegated authority contracts appropriately and cost effectively· Develop strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders within the Business Unit(s) the job holder supports· Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and third parties, developing appropriate external relationships to ensure positive results for clients and the business· Actively undertakes personal development to ensure up to date knowledge and understanding of best practice· As a more experienced member of the team, will assist less able team members with their personal development, where required· Attend clients / insurers premises as necessarySkills and Experience: · Has significant previous Claims based experience (ideally with an international broker)· Good understanding general principles of insurance.· Good understanding of London market operations (Lloyds and company markets)· Understanding of company objectives and how own role contributes to these.· Good knowledge relating to claims-handling process.· Understanding of broking and underwriting process.· Knowledge of the market within which the company operates including an awareness of competitors, specific territory knowledge, cultural awareness· Awareness of the regulatory environment and requirements.· Specific systems’ knowledge relevant to claims processingIn return, you will receive a competitive salary, pension, the opportunity for hybrid working, professional qualifications and more!V/12468
