Job Description

As the SENCO/Inclusion Lead, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the provision for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring that all students have equal access to a high-quality education.SENCO - Inclusion Lead - SEN - SENDCO - Education and Training - GraysPosition:SENCO / Inclusion LeadLocation:GraysSalary Scale: £160-£250 per dayContract Type: Full-timeKey Responsibilities:

  • As a SENCO you will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the schools SEN policy.
  • Take responsibility for SEND/inclusion provision
  • As a SENCO you will play a key role in school leadership and management
  • Coordinate the identification and assessment of students with SEN.
  • As a SENCO you will develop and implement effective strategies and interventions to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to inclusion.
  • As a SENCO you will lead and participate in the annual review process for Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for supporting students with SEN.
  • As a SENCO you will liaise with parents and carers to foster positive relationships and ensure effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Be experienced /qualified/or be willing to train in the role of a Primary SENCO
  • Proven experience as a SENCO or in a similar leadership role.
  • Be an exemplary teacher
  • In-depth knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
  • Be committed to working in close partnership with parents, governors and the wider community.
