Accredited Counsellors required to train in IAPT approved modalitiesAfC Band 6, £31,365 - £37,890 (+ fringe HCAS)37.5 Hours per week,one evenings/ or Saturday morningWe are looking to recruit counsellors to join our expanding Inclusion Thurrock IAPT counselling team.Ideally we are looking for counsellors that are already qualified to deliver an IAPT approved counselling modality such as CfD/PCE-CfD, DIT or IPT. However, we recognise that most individuals qualified to deliver these modalities are already working in IAPT services. We are therefore inviting applications from counsellors that are accredited with their Governing Body (such as BACP) and willing to undertake training. We have a place on a PCE-CfD training course commencing on 24th March, so are looking to recruit asap.We are also looking for accredited counsellors who have a significant psychodynamic background to undertake additional training in either Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) or Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).Classified as a training post, a twelve month fixed term contract would be given, linked with an offer of permanent contract of employment on gaining the IAPT modality qualification within the training year. You will be supported with a funded training place, and we are proud to support our trainees to ensure their success on the training course. If you are concerned about the initial fixed term offer, you could speak to one of our counsellors that have already completed the training.We are seeking individuals that strive to innovate and want to make a real difference through the work they do. Priority will be given to any applicants who are also qualified to deliver EMDR, although we have EMDR training scheduled for next year, so this is not a prerequisite.Clinical supervision is provided by modality specific accredited clinical supervisors. Case management support is also provided.Clinicians are well resourced with IT and communications equipment. The IAPTus patient administration system is used and services operate on a paperless basis. A working knowledge of IAPT and IAPTus would be an advantage.Appointees will need to be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, service users and members of the public, respect individual rights to confidentiality, and complete tasks within given deadlines.
