Job Description

Pay: KR3 FTE £18,039.00 Pro-Rata £11,481 per yearStart Date: ASAP We wish to appoint an enthusiastic TeachingAssistant to join our friendly and supportive team in Key Stage 1. Initially for a 1 year contract but could be made permanentdue to restructuring of the staff. We are looking for a TA with flexibility,experience in learning support and the ability to contribute to our schoolscommunity and vision. The successful applicant will be sensitive to childrensvarying needs but be able to work under the guidance of the teaching team,Inclusion Manager and Leadership Team. This post may involve working 1:1 and with a smallgroup to support a childs learning. The successful candidate will:

  • Have relevant qualifications NVQ 2 and 3 inchildcare and learning (level 2 only may be acceptable if a willingness to worktowards NVQ3 can be demonstrated) and experience in a school;
  • Supporting groups of children in achieving thelesson objectives in English, Maths and across all areas of thecurriculum;
  • Feeding back to the class teacher, keeping recordsof progress and behaviour;
  • Supporting the social, emotional, behavioural andmedical needs of the pupil(s);
  • Communicating with parents;
  • Preparing resources and some administrativework;
  • Displaying childrens work creatively.
