Job Description

OLightOn is an established employability provider dedicated to supporting employment outcomes. We are looking for a skilled freelance employability trainer to provide support and guidance to unemployed participants with the aim of improving their job searchskills and chances of gaining sustainable employment. This will be a three-month contract to deliver a 12 week course starting in March which involves delivering group sessions from 10am - 2pm daily.Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a skills assessment with participants in order to design and deliver suitable sessions
  • Build trust and develop an effective working relationship with participants
  • Provide tailored and practical advice to clients based on their desired job role
  • Ensure clients are well prepared for their job search
  • Deliver effective CV writing and interview preparation sessions
  • Provide information on employment options including volunteering opportunities
  • Provide cost of living support including better-off calculations
  • Deliver employability sessions covering topics such as digital skills, personal branding and soft skills, mental health and wellbeing.
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Experience designing and delivering a range of employability skills training
  • Experience working in the welfare to work sector
  • Experience delivering digital skills training is desirable but not essential
  • An enhanced DBS that has been dated within the last 12 months or proof/details of being on the update service.
  • A relevant training qualification such as PTLLS, DTLLS or CTLLS .
