Job Description

Start Date: Monday 29th March, 2021 (sooner ifpossible) Pay: TDET Range 7 (see advert) Finance Officer Salary: TDET Band 7, point 20-24 (depending onexperience) Actual salary £19,452 to £22,132 per annum (pro rata to £22,469 to£25,564 per annum for a FTE role). This role is 37 hours per week, 8:30am to 5pm(Mon-Thursday) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (Fri), with an unpaid 1 hour lunch-break. This role is term-time only 38 weeks per year, plusan additional 2 weeks, one week of which will be the end of August to ensurethat financial payments are met in a timely manner. The Finance Officer purpose:

  • To oversee and/or execute the key financial needsof the school including budgeting, purchasing & payments, banking, payroll,pensions
  • To ensure that the schools finances are managedin a controlled manner in accordance with all statutory regulations, anddocumentary evidence is maintained for audit purposes
  • To work closely with budget holders, Headteacher,Local Governing Body (LGB) and key external contacts such as the EducationFunding Authority (EFA), School Bankers, Payroll Providers andAuditors
