Job Description

Our client is a successful, privately held Maintenance Services company who have been operating in the building services sector throughout the UK for many years and have built a trusted brand recognised for their innovative solutions, and first-class service.They are recruiting for a motivated and experienced Electrical Service / Test Engineer to join them on a permanent basis covering the Gravesend / Maidstone undertake electrical installation, test and inspection service and general maintenance.

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hourly Rate: Up to £17.00 per hour. Engineers are paid door-to-door, so you are getting paid from the moment you get in your company vehicle, regardless of your journey time.
  • Standard Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Overtime: Excellent overtime rate paid after 50 hours. On call payment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out various electrical tests and inspections and general maintenance works in-line with NICEIC & BS2391 and other applicable regulations.
  • Undertake electrical works as instructed (including portable appliance testing, electrical installation testing, lighting, fire alarm and emergency lighting maintenance, reactive and remedial works).
  • Ensure the works are undertaken efficiently, in line with customer SLAs, providing a first time fix wherever possible.
  • Provide support as part of the out of hours call-out rota (frequency to be confirmed), as necessitated by the needs of the business.
  • Complete all administration duties, including parts expense claims, van stock reports.
  • Always comply with BS EN ISO 9001:2008 operating procedures.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
  • Electrical qualification & experience within Electrical Maintenance.
  • Electrical installation and IEE 18th edition wiring Regulations.
  • Testing and inspection experience.
  • ECS gold card - Advantageous.
  • IPIF qualification.
  • Experience of Fixed Wire testing.
  • Experience working in a field-based role, covering a region, and working with a range of customers.
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
