Job Description

Radar Recruitment are supporting a sizeable local business supporting them in their search for an Assistant Financial Controller. Working as part of a large finance team you will be responsible for all financial control and management of a small financeteam. This role will suit an individual who has already operated at a Finance Manager/Financial Accountant level in an operational company or someone who is actively looking to step up and has the commercial acumen to hit the ground running.Responsibilities:

  • Month end close, including posting journals, and balance sheet account management for the UK
  • Financial reporting and local accounts preparation
  • Provide accounting and tax advice, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Responsible for direct and Indirect tax compliance
  • Manage external auditors, jointly plan, and execute audit programmes, including the design, implementation
  • Aligning, standardising, and improving systems and procedures
  • Building relationships, including operational teams
  • Project Management for example IT systems alignment
  • Managing external accounting providers
  • Heavily involved with ERP implementation
Profile:
  • Part-Qualified or QBE
  • Prior experience in a similar role (Finance Manager, Financial Accountant)
  • Ability work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to a product-based business (manufacturing, distribution, packaging)
  • Advanced IT skills
On Offer:
  • Between £40k - £45k basic salary
