Job Description

What we are looking forWe are recruiting for an experienced handyman/handywoman to maintain our 3 Grantham offices, car park and surrounding areas. The candidate must be motivated, enthusiastic, have good communication skills and be able to prioritise work. Previous experience in general handywork is essential.Responsibilities include:

  • You will be responsible for regular checks of the building and grounds and advise the Director of any repair work that may be required.
  • Undertaking minor repair works as needed.
  • Maintaining the car park and ensure we comply with Health and Safety standards, including gritting the car park and surrounding areas in the Winter.
  • Basic electrics installations and maintaining of existing electrics
  • Basic plumbing maintenance and occasional installations
  • Arranging of seating and tables for events in the meeting rooms
  • Run errands to post office and purchasing of food or beverages for local events and adhoc purchases
  • Ensuring that all areas of the building comply to the government standards
  • Occasional cleaning as needed and to cover when required
    • Essential Skills:
  • Full UK driving licence and own car
  • Previous experience as a general Handyman/Handywoman
  • Good communication
  • Basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, tiling skills
  • Excellent time management and organisation
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
