Job Description

Howdens Joinery is looking for a Supply Planner to join our busy Inbound Supply Chain team, at our offices based in Howden, East Yorkshire. Reporting directly to one of our Planning Managers. This role would suit someone looking to build a career in SupplyChain. You will produce and execute a consistent plan of requirements in an ever-changing demand environment, where planning must be of the highest quality.As Howdens undergoes an exciting period of transformation and growth, the role offers the opportunity for the Supply Planner to ensure product is 100% available in the Primary Distribution Centre to replenish depot demand, whilst maintaining the correctcommercial balance between inventory and service.Joining a team of 30 Supply Chain and Logistics planners, you will be provided with ongoing support and development, whilst managing primary inventory levels of c.£100m, encompassing around 1000 SKUs. You will develop and measure the supply base increasingthe flexibility and agility to service our business model and interpret sales demand from over 800 depots.A confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships, both internally and externally, your role will see you working with and developing the supplier relationship as well as working with purchasing, quality and logistics to meet keybusiness objectives.What you will bring:

  • Exposure to working in a Supply Chain environment is preferred.
  • Excellent IT systems skills is essential (ideally exposure to SAP/ APO) for Planning & Production Scheduling.
  • Knowledge of demand planning, or logistics and purchasing is desirable.
  • A confident communicator who can use their skills to persuade and influence.
