Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join an innovative manufacturing and distribution business who have great growth plans where customers, suppliers, and colleagues are at the heart of all decisions.

  • Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
  • Diagnose breakdown problems
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
  • Carry out quality inspections on jobs
  • Laise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
  • Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
  • Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
  • Improve health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
Beneficial skills / qualifications:
  • An experienced Maintenance Engineer (min 3 years)
  • Electrical or mechanical bias
  • Electrical control circuit problem solving and fault finding on site machinery, including e stops, safety interlocks, light barriers and control circuits.
  • General mechanical repairs
  • Level 3 in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of BS7671 would be desirable but not essential
Package Details:
  • £17.70p/h
  • MondayFridayDays only (flexibility may be required)40 hour week
