Job Description

Machine Operator Opportunities at theUKs Number 1 Trade Kitchen SupplierJoin our team on ournewlamination line based from our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire -DN14 7PAThis is a unique opportunity to join our factory working on our brand-new lamination line. As we continue to expand, we are looking for experienced Machine Operators to join our team and be part of this exciting development where we will be manufacturingour handle less frontals and dcor ends. The equipment the lamination process consists of includes;Titan - Foil / PVC Slitter, Argos - Vision System, Schelling - Angle Plant Saw, Biele - X-cut Saw, Costa - Sander, Zanin Nello - J-Profile Trimmer, Celaschi - DET, SCM - Drawer Front Line, Barberan - Lamination and other ancillary equipmentPay rate:

  • £16.28 basic rate plus generous shift allowance and performance bonus
Shift Pattern:2022 days only(Monday to Wednesday 5:4516:15, Thursday 5:4515:45)In 2023 we will move to two shifts working the following pattern;
  • Rotating days and night shifts (Monday to Thursday)
  • Days (Monday to Wednesday 5:4516:15, Thursday 5:4515:45)
  • Nights (Monday to Wednesday 16:002:30, Thursday 15:301:30)
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Adherence to company SHE policies and standards
  • Performing machine pre use safety checks and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Setting, monitoring and maintaining the machine in accordance with the SOP
  • Accurate recording of production data
  • Performing detailed process quality checks in accordance with the quality control plan
  • Changing tooling and performing minor adjustments
  • Engaging with partnering functions including maintenance and CI in order to drive improvement
What are we looking for
  • Previous experience of operating machinery (previous lamination experience is desirable)
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines and targets
  • Experience of working within a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment
