Job Description

Pertemps have an exciting opportunity for Class C+E Day Drivers to work out of a National Distribution Centre situated in Howden (DN14 7PA) East Yorkshire. This is Working on behalf of our client who specialise in the Joinery industry and are leaders in this field. Drivers will transport Wood products toRDCs & Site/branch throughout the home countysDuties will include:

  • Trunking between depot and Site/Branch
  • 3 to 5 drops MAX
  • Start Times (Between 05:00-08:00am) Must be Flexible
  • Monday to Friday
  • No Handballing & Lifting (Pulling Curtains Only)
  • All Products are FLT off
  • A safety-first approach to driving and ensuring loads are safely secured.
  • Completing daily delivery paperwork and logbooks.
  • Up to 12hr Runs (Must be prepared to do that length of shift if needed
  • Driving Mercedes or DAF Trucks its a mixture (All Automatic)
Immediate starts available providing driving assessments are passedSkills & Experience:
  • Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers.
  • Making sure loads are safely secured.
  • Following traffic reports and changing your route if necessary.
  • Completing delivery paperwork and logbooks.
  • A good Level of Communication in English
Drivers Skills and experience:
  • Hold a LGV C+E licence with a minimum of 6 months (Must have experience driving already)
  • A driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and free of endorsements such as DDs, DRs or IN10s.
