Job Description

Howdens Joinery is looking for an Insights Manager to join our dynamic Insights team, based at our site in Howden, East Yorkshire. As a FTSE 100 business which is undergoing an exciting period of transformation and growth,you will provide the business withkey data that drives the 5-year business plan and annual strategies.You will track the market, competitor analysis, qualitative and quantitative research methods to identify commercial opportunities to drive profit and growthWhat will you be doing as an Insights Manager The Market

  • Provide economic & financial research and analysis to support the Exec and wider business with insight that feeds long-term strategic objectives.
  • Tracking and analysis of competitor financial reporting to map market share in all sectors and identify opportunities for market share gain.
  • Keeping abreast of the housing market and segment performance to uncover insights to drive sales
Customer
  • Insight survey creation and data analysis reaching three groups of customers (Depot/Builder/homeowner)
  • Quantitative and qualitative research on customer experience, purchase journey and product preferences to support the category, marketing & digital teams with key observations and recommendations to drive growth in sales and profit
  • Brand health and customer tracking, creating internal surveys and working alongside external partners to gather intel on brand perception, customer confidence and builder optimism
  • Track demographic lifestyle changes with all customer groups
What do I need to qualify for the Insights Manager role
  • Experience in Research, Insights, Product Category, Commercial Finance or Marketing based discipline.
  • Highly numerate and confident in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to think strategically, making commercial recommendations through data
  • Ability to deliver inspiring, engaging, and meaningful presentations, putting forward tangible recommendations.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to work with stakeholders at a senior level
  • Experience building and/or using survey software systems is desirable
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint user
