Job Description

Finance Business PartnerHowdens are looking for a Finance Business Partner who has the experience and ability to succeed in supporting a changing and fast-moving Warehouse environment. This Finance Business Partner role isa permanent, full-time position, with a blend ofofficeandhome working, based at our Howden site in East Yorkshire.As a key member of the Logistics Finance team, the Finance Business Partner will be the primary financial support to the Warehouse Operations teams across three sites in Runcorn, Howden and Raunds with an annual cost base of £86m.What we can offer you:

Your role:Your role provides key financial information, enabling the business to track progress against divisional targets and make better informed decisions. This covers all aspects of financial support from period end reporting to providing detailed analysis ofvariances and trend analysis, as well as developing improved ways of working. A confident and considered communicator, you will spend a significant amount of time talking to Warehouse and Planning Managers to understand their problems and work with them todevelop solutions.What we’re looking for:
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA,ACCA,ACA)
  • Experience of finance business partnering non-financial stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of management accounts and balance sheet controls.
  • Previous experience in supporting warehousing preferred.
  • Experience of managing large volumes of data to create useful information, therefore attention to detail is critical.
  • Analytical with the ability to interpret and explain data to a diverse group with high variations in financial knowledge.
  • Numerate, tenacious and commercially astute.
  • Considers challenges as an opportunity to consider and suggest alternatives.
  • People focused with the ability to build solid working relationships and effectively communicate and influence at any level.
