Change Digital are working exclusively with an exciting start-up based in the newly built Advanced Research Centre (ARC) at the University of Glasgow. Partnering with them to build out their IT / Software development functions.Their aim is to digitise chemistry using powerful bespoke software to convert code to molecules and produce robotic solutions for drug and materials discovery as well as chemical synthesis.They are looking to fill a number of different roles with highly talented people and being a start-up they need people who are adaptable and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.If you are an experienced Web Developer I want to hear from you asap.Your responsibilities will include: Developing (web) interfaces to their automated hardware and database. Refactoring existing code where required. Working with engineering and chemistry colleagues to develop suitable test plans. Working with the chemistry and software engineering teams to generate specifications for new product development and product improvement. Accurate and timely project reports. Presentation of data to customers, internal and external. Operating to agreed quality standards.Your experience should include: Degree in Computer Science / Software engineering or equivalent. UI and frontend developer skills (candidates should note any particular experience in the following: JavaScript, React, Redux, web sockets, CSS, HTML, and Python 3 (Django/Flask), SQL Typescript, NodeJS, Angular, PostgreSQL/MongoDB, CSS and HTML) Strong development experience using modern JavaScript and/or TypeScript. Experience in building web applications with React, including new features (e.g. hooks). Knowledge and/or experience with Redux is desirable. Knowledge of REST APIs and/or GraphQL is beneficial. Unit testing experience (React Testing Library). Experience working with Source Control systems (Specifically Git).For more information get in touch asap.
