Search are delighted to be working exclusively with The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons in their hunt for a talented Web Developer. This isnt your "usual" Web Dev position. Whilst working primarily with the LAMP stack, youll be jumping straight into a number of new and exciting projects from day one. Think custom modules, new features, integration and mapping out an entirely new website for the college further down the line. Being part of a small, close knit team means that youll also have a lot more autonomy and sway over new and existing projects. Things will move extremely quickly & youll be able to see the fruits of your labour far sooner as a result - job satisfaction as its finest.Whilst the role itself is heavily weighted towards hands-on Development, there will be an aspect of ticketing/support too. Youll essentially be working with people internally and externally to review, create and deploy page updates & new features. It wont take you a significant amount of time but will make a real difference to users over time. The College themselves are really open-minded when it comes to the right kind of person for this job. Personally speaking, if youre a recent graduate with a bit of commercial experience under your belt (or a fair amount of freelance/personal project work), you probably have the right level of experience. Youll need to have a good understanding of these bits of tech:- LAMP stack (Linux, Apache HTTP, MySQL & PHP)- JavaScript (bonus points for jQuery & Vue.js)- Joomla and/or WordPressIts also really important that you have a keen eye for detail. Any UI/UX experience (personal projects or otherwise) that youve done would be really good to see. Keen Apply & we can have a chat about the role in more depth, next steps & what the interview/onboading process will look like.Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
