I am currently working with an international Sports equipment distribution company based in Glasgow, who are looking to bring In a Warehouse Team Leader to join their ever-growing enterprise. Key responsibilities: * Control the allocation of workload ensuring all staff are rotated and trained across all areas. * Plan and maintain daily/weekly and monthly operations across all warehouse floor activities.* Lead a team of warehouse operatives ensuring that all members of your team are operating in accordance with company rules and following company processes.* Ensure all goods are processed efficiently and accurately according to KPIs.* Hold daily meetings to ensure information is shared, training given and work allocated and understood for the day. * To monitor work capabilities and training for all members of staff.* Uphold and enforce company procedures, recommending improvements where necessary.* Ensure all picking and packing requirements are followed for all key accounts/export customers/distributors.* Ensure all warehouse transfers, pack breakdowns, product splits, re-stockings etc are done accurately and in a timely manner.* Optimise the warehouse capacity through efficient housekeeping of all stock and product lines.* Become the system "super-user" within WMS (Oracle-JDE).* Ensure health and safety requirements are met in line with company policy for all members of the warehouse team.* Train to become a key holder and have the ability to run out of hour shifts as the responsible person on site. In addition to these duties and responsibilities, the jobholder may be required to carry out other tasks assigned by their manager.Essential* 2 years minimum experience in warehouse team leadership (5+ members of staff).* Experience in all aspects of warehousing, goods in, pick, despatch, stock control, returns processing.
