As a quick learner, youll be flexible to work in different areas, take responsibility for the work you do and alwaysshow good attention to detail.To supervise our warehouse, you will have:* Previous supervisory experience of a warehouse or distribution team* Great Communication Skills* Industry experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided What will I be doing in the role Our Warehouse Supervisors are very important to the smooth running of the business, you will be responsible for the safe, continuous and efficientrunning of the warehouse.The role is important to help ensure products are where they need to be on time and you will be responsible to ensure that the product is ready for the customer to collect.To support our customers effectively you will;* Be responsible for 8 Warehouse Operatives* Picking, Loading and unloading deliveries* Manual lifting for our customers* Supervision and planning of day to day warehouse and transport operations, taking responsibility for problem solving and managing situations arising* Work with the Branch Manager to identify and action individual and team training needs* Achievement of warehouse Key Performance Indicators to agreed standards, incorporating productivity, pick accuracy and customer service targets* Supervise stock control and inventory processes; to include responsibility for purchasing from certain suppliers, as agreed with the Branch Manager* Support and assist Health and Safety culture to ensure that both staff and customers are free from accidents and that all parties actively endorse a safe and healthy working environmentFork lift truck experience is desirable however training can be given.Hours of work: 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday, NO WEEKENDSWHO ARE WEAre George Boyd and Saint-Gobain an Inclusive employerWere working hard to be, and were keen to hire talented people regardless of their background, abilities, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, national origin, taste in music, fashion sense or anything else that makes you, you!
