Victim Navigator - Scotland (Two Year FTC)Glasgow, ScotlandAbout UsJustice and Care is a charity dedicated to saving lives and breaking the grip of slavery. We support the rescue of victims of slavery and human trafficking, empowering them to rebuild their lives.We work with the police to pursue and dismantle criminal networks, secure communities at risk from traffickers and spark systematic change.We are now looking for a Victim Navigator to join our team in Glasgow on a full-time, fixed-term contract for an initial two years.The Benefits- Salary starting from £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience- 25 days holiday per annum, plus Bank Holidays and birthday leave- Private healthcare- Pension- Support a ground-breaking charity that is restoring livesIf you are passionate about doing whatever you can to combat modern day slavery and have experience working with vulnerable people, this is your chance to use your skills and expertise to support victims of slavery and human trafficking.Youll be playing a critical role in supporting victims of these horrific practices and enabling the perpetrators to be brought to justice.So, if you want to support the recovery journey of vulnerable people, making a positive impact, we want to hear from you today!The RoleAs a Victim Navigator, you will help broker and manage contact with victims of slavery and human trafficking.Acting as a bridge between identified victims of slavery and human trafficking and police efforts to bring exploiters to justice, you will help victims across a number of investigations to navigate services and benefits. You will provide them with individualisedadvice, enabling them to secure the best post-identification support possible.Additionally, you will learn and share lessons for government and national police strategies, identifying a successful model that could be promoted and replicatedPlease note, some travel within relevant source countries will be required.About YouTo be considered as a Victim Navigator, you will need:- Relevant experience working with vulnerable people- To have a passion to do whatever you can to combat modern day slavery- Excellent organisational and communication skills- To have lived in the UK for at least five years- A degree or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience- A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicleA social work or legal qualification would be beneficial to your application, as would experience working in a cross cultural setting.
