Job Description

  • UX Designer / User Experience Designer - Greenfield
  • Glasgow (Blend of Remote and Office Working)
  • £32,500 - £37,500 plus excellent benefits
    • The client:Sanderson are working alongside a long-term partner in the FinTech space as they look to add a talented UX Designer to their growing team. The client are working on a host of interesting projects in an environment where introducing new technologies, tools and methods of engagement is not only encouraged, but supported. The role will be remote for now, with occasional office visits expected when its safe for us to do so; the split between WFH and Office is open for discussion at this stage!   • Help establish UX as a capability for the organisation with the idea of growing a team in the future.
  • Driving user-centered design and modern development practices within product teams, using lean UX principles, spearheading design thinking workshops, and delivering solutions
  • Provide highly developed, expert Design, UI (User Interface) and UX (User Behaviour) knowledge to the organisation to enable us to produce world class products
  • Support Software Engineers and Product teams to evolve designs during discovery and understand how designs translate to delivery / implementation
  • Research, design, prototype user-centric designs with rapid testing and iteration
  • Communicate and articulate the value of UX and the rationale behind your research process and design decisions, bringing the team along your journey
  • Produce outstanding design solutions allowing us to deliver world-class products to the marketplace
  • Mentor others in Design and UI/UX techniques and practices
    • Experience and knowledge required:
  • Extensive experience of successful UI and UX implementation
  • Ability to accurately assess key market trends from multiple perspectives and implement into designs
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influence and partnership skills, with ability to advocate for UX and communicate with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven experience in inspiring creative ideas and working successfully with product owners
  • Proven track record in at least one design pillar: user research, interaction design/UX or visual design
  • Experience working in agile / lean methodologies and facilitating design thinking workshops
  • Proven experience working with software teams
    • Responsibilities
  • Provide UX & UI support and input to all NPD projects as required
  • Research, design, prototype user-centric designs with rapid testing and iteration
  • Support Software Engineers and Product teams to evolve designs during discovery and understand how designs translate to delivery / implementation
  • Communicate and articulate the value of UX and the rationale behind your research process and design decisions, bringing the team along your journey
  • To maintain positive team relationships in collaboration across the business; within project and functional teams
