UI Designer - 6 Month FTC

Job Description

We are looking for two UI Designers on an initial 6 months fixed term contract for a leading consulting business. The roles will predominantly focus on specific projects working with colleagues in the Platform team. The designers will be responsible forcreating, designing and developing web elements that optimise user interaction and experience across various devices.Responsibilities:

  • Strong experience in UI, including practical applications in front end coding
  • Be a great team player, experienced in working with agile teams. Ability to collaborate closely with developers and copywriters.
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, sitemaps and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.
  • Assist in the compilation of user stories.
  • Collaborate on scenarios, end-to-end experiences, and screen designs.
  • Experience in front end coding.
  • Conduct user testing of applications, software, and websites.
Key Experience:
  • Experience of working with coding teams to realise development vision.
  • Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
  • Experience using tools such as Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, UXPin, Quartz, XD.
  • Superior computer skills; HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap/WordPress or equivalent framework and programming troubleshooting.
  • Coding ability using the above and knowledge of Objective C, Swift and C++ would be an advantage.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum development process.
  • Understanding of UI; an understanding of latest design and technology trends and their role in a commercial environment.
