Meraki Talents global financial service-based client are looking to add a Hedge Accounting Manager to the current team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic firm who offer an excellent work life balance, this role can be fully remote orhybrid working. The role is focused on reporting and hedge accounting activities as required by Finance and Treasury teams, whilst also providing technical guidance and support to the business partnering team.Key duties of the role include:* Devising and implementing Hedge Accounting strategies* Overseeing the IFRS compliant design and documentation of hedge accounting designations, de-designations and re-designations and associated hedge effectiveness calculations and accounting entries.* Maintaining awareness of IFRS exposure drafts and guidance notes as related to Treasury products and transactions, coordinating policy development and implementation.* Responsible for ensuring the team prepare appropriate insight and analysis for inclusion in the Treasury Management Accounts in a timely and controlled manner.* Ability to understand source systems, data feeds and how to translate accounting requirements into system rules.Experience required:* ICAS Qualified or equivalent.* Strong experience in accounting for complex financial instruments.* Management reporting experience.* Extensive financial product knowledge.* Experience in the production of statutory accounts.* Comfortable explaining technical accounting matters.On offer:* Salary - £70,000 - £85,000* Annual bonus 10%* Fully remote working* Annual leave* Excellent pension
