Job Description

The Treasury Assistant will be responsible for all cashiering functions of the UKs biggest Insolvency Practitioner, this role is best suited to someone who already has experience of a fast-paced, commercial environment; and hitting strict, daily deadlines.Client DetailsAnyone can get into financial difficulty. Theyre there for you every step of the way.DescriptionThe Treasury Assistant will be responsible for, including, but not limited too, the below:

  • Working in close partnership with the wider team, across multiple departments, offices, and time zones, building relationships with the view to establishing better integration of processes.
  • Maintaining communications with key external stakeholders.
  • Participating in projects and carry out any other duties that maybe outside the standard remit to ensure outcomes are met.
  • Responsible for carrying out all cashiering procedures, within stricttimelines, to enable critical cash flow planning across the Group, including but not limited to:
    • Accurate allocation of all cash received for the Group.
    • Manage a volume of over 100,000 cases, to be reconciled and reviewed to an audit level standard monthly.
    • Pro-actively interface with departments, creditors, and clients to resolve any queries relating to cash management, ensuring compliance, and identifying solutions.
    • Reconciliation of receipts and payments daily, client accounts.
    • Daily Bank Reconciliations.
    • Process distributions, including fees and dividends.
    • Process, cash, and issue cheques.
    • Regular reporting on Cashier projects.
    • Correct and reissue returned dividends.
ProfileThe successfu candidate will emody the below skills and experience:Essential
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, in particular Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with databases.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
  • Experience working successfully both independently and within a team environment.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of insolvency practices and systems.
  • Experience reconciling daily and monthly bank reconciliations on excel and an understanding of a zero balance.
  • Background in financial services.
