Job Description

Role: Training & Development Executive Location: GlasgowSalary: £27,000 - £33,000 DOEDo you have experience in a Learning & Development role within the Travel IndustryOr would you like to take your L&D career and skills to the Travel IndustryTravel Trade Recruitment are delighted to announce that we are now representing our valued client in the search for an experienced Training & Development Executive to join their amazing team.Reporting to the Group Head of People Development, you will play a vital role in delivering their learning and development programs to an excellent standard, ensuring the new and existing workforce is developed and up skilled to company expectations. Thisis a fantastic opportunity for a passionate trainer to be part of a fun and exciting team within a UK leading Travel AgencyThe role of a Training & Development Executive:

  • Delivering learning programs effectively including the induction and onboarding program
  • Working closely with retail stores and support department management teams to make sure staff are developed.
  • Work closely with the head of people development to evaluate all training materials and plans and ensure they are kept updated and reflect any changes required by the business.
  • Assess the success of training and development plans by evaluating post session results.
  • Ensure new hires to the business are onboarded to the business in a positive manner.
  • Encompass all company values into training to ensure they are reflected in employee behaviours and performance.
  • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of skills and techniques into employees work behaviour and performance.
  • During peak trading times, provide training support in the field to our sales network across the UK which may include travel to various store locations as and when required.
Experience and skills required as a Training & Development Executive:
  • Strong leadership qualities and coaching ability.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience as a salesperson ortrainer, ideally in the travel industry.
  • An understanding of how to deliver excellent customer service.
  • A calm, friendly and positive approach with a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and show initiative when required.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of sales and customer service success.
  • Flexibility, as there will be travel involved in this role.
  • An ambassador for change by adapting our Vision, Mission, and Values.
