Job Description

Trainee AccountantGlasgow, city centreup to £20,000 plus ACCA study supportiMultiply are delighted to be engaged on the position of Trainee Accountant based in the Glasgow area.The CompanyA modern, ambitious and forward-thinking independent firm with an excellent reputation on the market for providing an excellent level of service to clients. The Practice has grown significantly in recent years and is constantly on the lookout for ways to develop and enhance the business.The RoleThe position of Trainee Accountant is a newly created position again emphasising their strong staff retention. The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 12 months’ experience and be highly motivated about delivering exemplary customer service both internally & externally. Candidates will ideally have experience of working in an Accountancy Practice/Firm.On OfferThe role of Trainee Accountant will offer a competitive salary depending on experience with the business prepared to award the top-level salary provided the candidates experience merit this bracket. The office is based in Glasgow, city centre and are easily accessible via public transport, with parking available onsite.The role will fashion the following duties:

  • Advising and consulting with clients face to face and by telephone or email
  • Preparing management accounts
  • Preparing annual statutory accounts for a wide variety of SMEs
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Communicating findings to senior management in a clear and concise manner
  • Managing workload to ensure deadlines are met whilst always maintaining a high level of service
  • On job support and training to junior staff
  • Adhoc duties
    • To be considered for this role you have the following skills/experience:
  • Worked in an accountancy firm for ideally 12 months ESSENTIAL
  • Be personable and competent in building trust and rapport
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and develop existing client relationships
  • Be confident in working to tight deadlines effectively
